Parris Goebel?


  1. Who is Parris Goebel? Parris Renee Goebel (born 29 October 1991), also known professionally as Parri$, is a New-Zealand-born choreographer, dancer, singer, director and actress. Her dance crew The Royal Family has won the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships three times.
  2. Where did she grow up? Goebel was born and raised in Manurewa Auckland New Zealand, the youngest of four children of Brett and LeeAnn Goebel. She is of Samoan Chinese and Scottish descent.
  3. How/when did she study dance?She was interested in dance from a young age and started hip-hop lessons when she was 10. When she was 15, she started the dance group

  1. Who are the Royal Family? ( hint, hint, this has nothing to do with the queen of England!)They are a Professional Dance crew who has won the world hip hop dance crew three times.
  2. What competitions have they been involved in/won?World Hip-Hop Dance Competition.
  3. Which famous singers have they danced for?Justin Bieber.

Part 3 - choreography


  1. What does the word choreography mean?the sequence of steps and movements in dance or figure skating, especially in a ballet or other staged dance.
  2. What is a choreographer?Choreography is an artistic opportunity to express one's personality through the creation of dance. A choreographer designs and directs routines used in dances and performances. They love movement and the art of dance, but most of all love to inspire others by sharing their creative ideas.
  3. Find two other choreographers ( they don’t have to be from NZ) find three facts on each and get pictures
