What does a Pyramid do ? The ancient Egyptians built pyramids as tombs for the pharaohs and their queens. The pharaohs were buried in pyramids of many different shapes and sizes from before the beginning of the Old Kingdom to the end of the Middle Kingdom. There area bout eighty pyramids known today from ancient Egypt.
What is a Pyramid made of ? A pyramid is built of Limestone, Granite, Gypsum (Mortar), and baked Mud Bricks.
Who built the Pyramids ? Pharaoh Khufu
Could all people use the Pyramids ? The Pyramids were only used for storing the deceased bodies of the pharaohs and their queens.
What is the biggest Pyramid in the world ? Great Pyramid of Cholula.
What is the smallest Pyramid in the world ? Pyramid of Menkaure.
