BEAUDEN BARRETT

One of New Zealand's most exciting players, Beauden Barrett has made an impression in the All Blacks.

He featured in six RWC 2015 matches and scored 26 points, including a fantastic try in the Final.

Brought off the bench to spark the backline in his first two seasons, in 2014 he made the most of his opportunities and showed his ability to run a Test from the kickoff. Barrett’s career in black includes the All Blacks Sevens in 2010 and IRB Junior World Championship-winning New Zealand Under 20 in 2011.

A mercurial player, Barrett was New Zealand’s top individual points scorer in the 2014 Investec Super Rugby competition, with 209 points for the season. He was in similar impressive form for the All Blacks in 2014. Regurlarly brought on from the bench to spark the backline, he has also shown his ability to run the game from the kickoff with three starts against Argentina and South Africa this year.

The game is in his genes: his father Kevin also played for both Taranaki and the Hurricanes and his brothers Kane and Scott and cousin Neesha have all played first-class rugby. His younger brother Jordie was selected in the New Zealand Under 20 team in 2016.
