Maori and European Population Changes In Nz 1836-1901
Questions
1)What does the Graph show us ? The change of Population in NZ from 1836 to 1901.
2)Why do you think the numbers of Maori change ? They traded goods for muskets, which led up to the Musket Wars. The women also caught diseases, during sexual intercourse with men who've caught infectious sickness. The women couldn't give birth because of the sickness which led to the decrease of the population.
3) Why do you think numbers of Europeans Changed ? The Maori traded their land for weapons and other goods.
