In the Furiosa Redemption scene, where Max and the others escaped Immortan Joe’s army and are making their way to the supposed green place, Miller intelligently uses the aspect of dialogue to dive deeper into the character of Furiosa. The start of the scene Max has a flashback from his past, he awakes in horror and throws a punch in the air, and Furiosa tells him “it’s okay, sleep, get some rest”. It cuts back to a shot of Max looking outside the desert and he asks her “ How do you even know this place even exists ?” and she responds to him saying “ I was born there”. He asks her “ Why did you leave ?’ she answers back saying “I didn’t, I was taken as a child. Stolen”. The camera is shown back to her face showing a slight sadness as she stares into the never ending desert. He asks her “ You done this before ? she says back to him “Many times, now that I drive a War Rig, this is the best shot I’ll ever have”. The scene cuts back to Max and he points at the wives and Nux and he asks Furiosa “And them ?” she answers back saying “They’re looking for hope” Max finally asks her “What about you ?” she says to him “Redemption”. Miller uses dialogue to adequately show the feelings and emotions of the characters of Max, Furiosa, and Nux all in one scene, to show what they are all fighting for. The director’s purpose in this scene was to show The Hero's Journey through Furiosa’s character. It was conveyed through Furiosa’s dialogue with Max, where she talks about “Redemption”. We also got an earlier look at the Furiosa’s Hero’s journey where Immortan Joe goes to find his wives and discovers they had escaped with Furiosa. An old lady appears out of nowhere and tells Immortan Joe that Furiosa did not want to take them, but they begged her to take them with her. We see the blueprints of the Hero’s Journey in Furiosa’s character when we discover that the wives had begged her before but she insisted they stay where they are (denying the Hero’s call). But Furiosa finally accepts the call and takes the wives with her in her endeavors to find the greenplace. The audience were introduced to an all new side to the character of Furiosa, they got to see her vulnerable side. This gives the audience an insight into what the journey is about and what they’re truly fighting for. The use of dialogue blended in with the different angle shots throughout the scene truly gave a deeper meaning. Miller uses a close up shot to mix with the dialogue, to show us the emotions that characters are going through. During the whole conversation Furiosa just looked sad and tired, whilst Max had a sympathetic look on his face while hearing Furiosa’s story. We then get a cut to Nux, Miller now uses a mid shot to show his interaction with the bug, and the sympathetic look on his face before he eats it.

2021 L2 Engineering Hydraulic Tools
What are hydraulic power tools ? Hydraulic power tools are powered by pressurized liquid fluid. Just like air compressors but instead of using pressurized air you use pressurized liquid.
How do hydraulic power tools work ? Hydraulic machines use a pump to pressurize hydraulic fluids, compressing it against a tool like a jack, lifting it up, and allowing the jack to hold something up, under the pressure.
What are the different types of hydraulic power tools ? Some Hydraulic power tools are manually pumped using your hands or your feet. We need to use a pump to create the pressure that goes through the hydraulic tools. Others run off mains electricity.
What is the correct type of PPE gear to use when operating hydraulic tools ? The essential PPE gear to wear in the workshop are safety glasses and ear muffs. These are a must no matter the job you are doing. Wear safety gloves when operating a hydraulic tool and also wear it to protect your hands from debris. How many types of PPE gear you wear is definitely up to what type of hydraulic tool you are using. There will always be signs around the workshop telling you what PPE gear to wear and they might also be shown on the description list of the tool.

2021 L2 Engineering Power Tools
SAFE USE OF MAINS POWERED TOOLS AND EXTENSION CORDS

What is a mains powered tool ? Mains power is an alternating current electrcity supply. Mains power tools are powered through the electricty running through the electrical cords. The electrical cords are used to plug in an electrical outlet so that electricity flows through the tools.
Where are you likely to use Mains Power/Power Tools ? You are most likely to find a Mains Power Tool in a workshop near an outlet. Basically wherever you can find an electrical outlet, is also where you can use Mains power since it runs of the electricity that comes from the walls connected to the electrical outlet. We can find different types of mains powered tools in the workshop that is available to us.
3 examples of Mains Powered tools I have used before :
| Biscuit Joiner | Power Drill | Band Saw |
Describe and Explain the task you used it for ?
1. A Biscuit Joiner is used to make circular shapes in a piece of wood to join to wood pieces together. I used a Biscuit Joiner to cut a circular shape on a piece of wood that matches the size of the biscuit, and then joined the three pieces of wood together to build my table.
2. A Power Drill is used to put holes into your work whether it be wood or metal. I used a power drill, to drill holes into my table, and work bench so that I can then apply the appropriate screw that needs to hold my work together.
3. A Band Saw is used to cut through materials such as wood, and metal. I used the band saw to cut a curved shape. I drew lines on the wood before I used the band saw because I would know where to follow and cut. So I made the curved shape for the support for my table.
General Safety around Electricity.....
What to look for ? Before using any machinery with wiring in the workshop, make sure you check for exposed wires, so that no accidents happen. Be careful when using cord-and-plug power tools if the guard is removed. In the event of someone getting an electrical shock do not touch them, because the electrcity will transfer on to you.
What do I do if something is wrong ? If any wires are exposed do not turn on the switch of the tool and contact your teahcer immediately. If the guard isn't on just make sure you don't trip on the cord. If someone is getting an electrical shock, make sure you step away from them and contact your teacher, then contact the authorities.
What is meant by RCD ? An RCD is a corded device that is programmed to break an electrical circuit to prevent serious harm from an ongoing electric shock.
What is meant by Double Insulation ? Double insulation is insulation that consists of both basic insulation and supplementary insulation. Equipment such as hand-held domestic electric drilling machines has the additional safety precaution of double insulation. -Website for Meaning
Safety checks and safe working practices when using a mains powered tool ? Check for exposed wires, so there is no electrical shock and also attach the rcd to the cord if anything wrong happens accidentally.
Hazards and dangers of extension cords ? Make sure you look around for the wires on the ground because you might trip and fall. Also if the cords are in a round loop it will heat up and cause a fire.
Safe use of extension cords ? Attach the guard to the cords so you don't trip on the wire. Also untie the cord if it has a loop so you can prevent overheating it.

2021 L2 Engineering Air Tools
Here is a diagram of a air compressor
What is a pneumatic power system/source?A pneumatic power tool is a type of power tool used in the workshop. A pneumatic power source is powered by air. Pneumatic power tools can only be used when the firing pin is opened and then opens the valve inside the tool, which then allows pressurised air to flow through the tool. The most common pneumatic power source is an air compressor.
What is an air compressor ? It is a machnine that generally runs of electrical power. The wires are connected to mains power. Air compressors suck in the air in the atmosphere, and compress the air in the reservoir/tank. The sizes of the compressors are important too because the bigger they are the more air pressure they can hold.
Click the link below on how to use an Air Compressor.
Dangers and Hazards when using an Air Compressor :
- Air Compressors run of mains power, so watch out for cords on the floor because you might trip and injure yourself.
- Don't point the air compressor hose at yourself or anyone, obviously this would be really stupid to do because once the compressed air is injected in to your body, dangerous injuries from it may include embolism, ruptured ear drums, and ruptured organs just to name a few.
- Make sure to check the electrical outlet is plugged in correctly, because if it isn't it may result in a elecetrical shock for your operators or irreversable damage on the machine.
- Noise from the air compressors can cause hearing loss.
- Gas and Diesel powered Air Compressors can produce dangerous fumes, so it's important to use them outside.
General PPE Gear when using an Air Compressor
Wearing PPE gear is mandatory when dealing with an Air Compressor because it a dangerous machine to use.
- Wear goggles shield your eyes from moving air particles.
- Wear a face shield this also covers your face from moving air particles.
- Wear ear muffs so it can protect your hearing.
- Wear overalls to protect yourself just incase you accidentally point the hose at yourself.
There are different ranges of air tools available in the workshop but there are four Air tools we can possibly use and those Air tools are an Impact Driver, Dust of Gun, Air Ratchet, and lastly a Air Rivet Gun. When using these four tools there are appropirate PPE gear to wear to ensure your safety.
Firstly Impact Drivers are used to drive in large amounts of fastners such as long screws and lag bolts. When using an Impact Driver make sure you wear safety goggles to protect your eyes, and ear muffs to protect your hearing. An Impact Driver gives you a bit of a kick so make sure your hands are well prepared. Also wear safety boots so if you were to accidentally drop it on your foot you wouldn't get your foot injured.
Secondly a Dust of Gun is used to clear dust off on your work tables. When you're using a Dust of Gun make sure to wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from the dust that is being dusted off, wear ear muffs to protect your ear drums. Wear overalls to protect your clothing from dust and if you were to accidentally point a high Air pressured gun at yourself. Safety boots are also a must, because if the gun were to be pointed at your foot, you would be protected by the boots you are wearing.
Thirdly when using an Air Ratchet make sure to wear safety goggles because if any metal dust somehow makes it way into your eyes, wear ear muffs because Air Ratchet makes noise and you want to protect your hearing and you also can't always be to sure. Also wear safety boots in the event you drop the air tool on your foot.
Lastly an Air Rivet Gun is used to fasten two pice of metals. When using an Air Rivet Gun wear safety goggles to protect your eyes, and wear ear muffs to cancel out the noise. Wear overalls to protect your clothing. Also wear safety boots to protect your feet.
Not Yet Finished.

Diary Of Anne Frank - Introduction To Connections
- How does viewing this text through a child’s perspective change the way we experience it? Explain using an example from the text? It's more lighthearted and innocent , whereas from an adults perspective it would be dark throughout the whole text.
- How would this text be different if it were told from the perspective of an adult? How would the audience’s experience be different? Adults are way more experienced, and are less gullible then kids. They are also more aware in the world.
- Why did the filmmaker or author decide to tell this story from a child’s perspective? They are open minded. Seeing things from a different perspective. Like it shows her feelings and perspective more.
- How are children represented in the text? How are adults represented in the text? Children are exposed to more mature stuff in the text, which is ironic considering they should have lived innocent and normal lives. They are gullible and naïve. Adults are way more serious and cautious.
- Does imagination help the young hero to cope? How so? Provide an example. Yes it
- Does this text connect in any other ways to the other texts you have read/viewed? How so? Provide evidence and explain.

'In The Bush' Information Report
In this text I will be discussing the relationship between the numerous flora and fauna in the New Zealand Bush Ecosystem. There are various species of flora and fauna; some species are introduced whereas some are native to New Zealand. These species have an interesting relationship. As I already mentioned, I'll be stating their relationships with each other.
The New Zealand ecosystem has different varieties of flora. They have native species and introduced species as well. Some of their native Flora species include Nikau ( Nz’s only native palm tree), Silver Fern, and New Zealand’s largest tree the Kauri. Introduced Flora species include beech trees, coastal cress, lancewood, and many more. The Nikau are a Native species and they usually grow up to 10-15 meters high. The Nikau provide nectar to bees, who then turn the nectar into honey. This gives us food sources and is supplied country wide. Lancewood is an introduced floral species and they grow up to 15 meters tall, the stem is very thick, and they have unusual sharp leaves growing from it. They’re actually three types of lancewood and the rarest one is called fierce lancewood because of it’s shark tooth projections along the leaf margin as stated before.
New Zealand Ecosystems have a very diverse type of fauna. Just like flora, the fauna in New Zealand both have native species and introduced species as well. Some introduced species include cockatoos, possums, and stoats. native fauna species include the Kiwi, Kea, and Moa. The possums are a fauna species that were introduced back in 1837 but did not survive for very long. The population shot up in the 1980s because they began to adapt to the environment here in the New Zealand bush ecosystem. Possums like to eat birds, insects, and flower leaves. Possums are very small creatures with lots of furry skin, and they’re skin was usually good for hunting purposes. Possums usually live up to 9 years. The Kea are a native bird species in New Zealand and they are a very colourful looking parrot bird. The Kea are omnivorous, foods they eat include insect larvae, fruits, and nectar. Their usual habitat is a native forest with lots of trees. The Kea is a parrot bird, with a curved beak, sharp claws, and colourful feathers. Astonishingly Kea birds can live up to 50 years. Kea are also an endangered species. They’re estimated population is said to be only around 6000 birds left.
New Zealand Ecosystems have very complementing relationships between flora and fauna. For example, the green geckos camouflage themselves on top of green leaves. This is kind of a defensive mechanism because this helps them hide from predators. The main relationship I'll be talking about is between the Grey Warblers and the Shining Cuckoo. Shining Cuckoos normally lay their eggs in the Grey Warblers nest. The reason being for this is that when the babies are born they wouldn’t worry about feeding them because the Grey Warbler will do that for them. The young Cuckoos would normally depend on their foster parents before finally becoming independent. Surprisingly Cuckoos can eat toxic insects like the hairy caterpillar. No egg rejection is shown from the Grey Warbler to the shining cuckoo because their “Momma Bear Mode” is turned on and makes them want to protect. This relationship is very weird and different but the Shining Cuckoos have been doing it as a resort of a surviving mechanism. The relationship between these two species is very peculiar.
So in conclusion both the flora and fauna species are dependent on one another to survive. They both need each other to flourish and thrive in the ecosystem.

Introduction To Connections
- How does viewing this text through a child’s perspective change the way we experience it? Explain using an example from the text. When JoJo was talking about the war he seems more excited but when we saw it through Captain Klenzendorf's perspective it showed us that he knew the horrors of war.
- How would this text be different if it were told from the perspective of an adult? How would the audience’s experience be different? The movie would be more serious and less comedic.
- Why did the filmmaker or author decide to tell this story from a child’s perspective? It would be more joyful and comedic.
- How are children represented in the text? They were shown to be more idiotic and were controlled easily by the adults. How are adults represented in the text? They were shown to be addicted to idolising Adolf Hitler.
- Does imagination help the young hero to cope? Yes. How so? Because it helps the young hero to cope with what is going on around him. Provide an example. When Jojo discovered the Jew girl in his sister's bedroom he starts to panick, but his imaginary friend 'Hitler' gave him ideas on how to take advantage of the situation which seemed to calm him down.

What are the ways directors can contrast in film ? Contrast in Tone, Contrast in Art Direction, Contrast in Blocking, Contrast in Camera Movements, and Contrast in Color.
What is contrasted in Spike Jonze's ad ? The ad is pure contrast from the beggining to the end. He starts contrasting the brightness with a place lacking colour,he then contrasts the art direction this time with the clothing people were wearing, they were all dark shades, dark subway, and dark streets. The contrast of the art direction changes as the character takes off her dark jacket revealing a white shirt. And where she lives reveals more about the character. The color inside her.As the contrast of lighting increases we can see her face more clearly and the space too. The ad finally reveals the contrast of blocking and how the character is breaking free from it.The visuals from then on were attention grabbing.
Why did he contrast these things ? He contrasted all these elements to show the characters life and how she breaks free from it by using her apple home pod. ( the purpose of the ad was to promote the device)

KOBE BRYANT'S DEATH (IMPACT)
A recent news item that caught my attention was the sad passing of Kobe Bryant. The NBA legend died in a tragic helicopter crash along with his beloved daughter Gianna Bryant. The helicopter crashed into a rugged terrain in Calabasas, California. It still hasn't been discovered how the helicopter came crashing down. There were nine people inside the aircraft including Kobe and his daughter Gigi.
This piqued my interest because Kobe inspired millions of people around the globe and his death was so sudden it shook the whole basketball world. This impacted a lot of basketball players because Kobe was the reason they started to enjoy watching and playing the game. Another reason this caught my interest was that I wanted to see how people reacted to his death. I know that sounds really sad when I say it that way but I mean no disrespect. I wanted to see how his death would affect not just the basketball community but the whole world.
This was a huge impact on the world because Kobe was one of the players that revolutionized the game of Basketball. I'll say once again he was the reason most people got into basketball. This was such a huge impact because Kobe was the bridge from the Michael Jordan era until the likes of Lebron James, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry showed up. Maybe Shaquille O'Neal was more dominant in the courts and Tim Duncan provided a more consistent foundation for championships, but Kobe's greatness and popularity made him the most important for both the fans and the next generation of players that followed his footsteps into the NBA. After Michael Jordan retired Kobe was the next MJ. Some kids didn't know Michael Jordan at all in their world they only knew of Kobe. Paul George didn't know much about MJ but in his eyes Kobe was His Jordan. Kobe was the person that was going to link Michael Jordan's teaching to the new generation just like how he once drew inspiration from MJ. The other Legacy Bryant carried from Jordan was TV appeal. That meant sellouts in the Staples Centre and a gigantic local TV rights for the Lakers. That's how much Kobe impacted the Basketball Community and the world.
Kobe's death made me think about my life and what I still haven't done. He makes me want live my life to the fullest with no regrets. I'm going to try and have that Mamba Mentality. I'm going to have the impact, the mentality, the aggression, and the work ethic that he had.

Windracers
In science, we were asked to design our very own wind racers as a group.
Design
Since the vehicle was already given to us by our teacher. All we had to do was design the sail. So my group decided to make our sail triangle shaped. We made an M shaped hole in our sail to symbolize the name of our wind racer which was the Moromobile. Our group's sail was second fastest.
Redesign
We added some cardboard and made more meters that way.

Tournament Of Power - NOVEL
We had just started training with our whole class when suddenly a portal that appeared out of nowhere and warped us into this unknown place. By the way, my name is Izuku Midoriya but you can call me Deku I'm a student from UA High School. I got warped into this place along with my friends, Todoroki, Bakugou, Kirishima, and Uraraka. As I looked around I saw all these different people, there was this very tall green guy. When I looked around I suddenly realized we all have two things in common we were all fighters and Heroes. Afterward, a mysterious figure showed up and told all of us what was going on. He said he was holding this tournament with all of us in it, he also said the losing Universal dimension will get erased. The last thing he told us was that it was a battle royale. We took the rest of the time to strategize. We were going to fight in this huge stage they said killing is not allowed the only way to win is to knock them off the stage. Kirishima suggested that we place ourselves in the middle but Todoroki and Bakugou said that most of the other competitors might be thinking of it as well. Once we were all inside the stage, I felt this rush inside of me I think it was excitement. Thanks to Melissa's Full Gauntlet I can use 100% of One For All. Once the tournament started Bakugou and Kirishima left on their own, soon after that Todoroki left too, he said he can't use the full extent of his powers if he was near us. Soon after a warrior with an orange martial artist suit came up to me and told me he wanted to fight. I asked him what his name is he said it was Gohan he was very confident that his universe would prevail. He said he's going to go full power of the bat so he went I think it was called his Ultimate form. I told myself that I should only use 20 % of my power. Gohan charges me with all his might but wasn’t fast enough I stepped out of the way and jumped up and propelled myself towards him and turned on my full cowling and hit him with a 20 % Detroit Smash. Which surprisingly knocked him off the stage, making him the first person to be eliminated.
Bakugou😠
I told Kirishima that we should ambush that tin man (Gilthunder) he agreed so we attacked him from behind, of course. He sensed we were coming for an ambush so he turned around quickly and charged at us with his sword. Kirishima went in front of me and used his quirk to save me from getting any damage from that attack. He used his hardening to attack the tinman while I was in the air getting ready to use my AP shot. But he counted it with his move called Thunderbolt. When our attacks touched each other there was a lot of dust in the air. When the air cleared, I decided to use my Howitzer Impact which thankfully blew him off the stage.
